What To Do If Your Permanent or Temporary Crown or Bridge Comes Off

1. If crown or bridge is dirty, rinse it off with water, and remove any loose pieces of cement form the inside.

2. Gently wipe the involved tooth or teeth off with a toothbrush or piece of gauze to remove any loose cement or debris.

3. Attempt to place the crown or bridge back onto the involved teeth, and carefully bite down to see if it feels comfortable.

4. DO NOT attempt to use any type of adhesive, including superglue or denture adhesive, as this can cause severe discomfort.

5. As with all crowns and bridges, avoid sticky foods such as caramel and taffy.

6. Call for an appointment the following day to recement the crown or bridge.
